It’s very normal for babies to sweat while they sleep; it’s actually one of the things that happens when babies achieve the deepest parts of sleep. Their breathing slows down, their muscles relax, and sometimes they sweat even until they dampen their clothes. It’s always a good idea though to make sure that this isn’t being caused by the room being overheated or by the baby being overheated by the number of layers of clothes and blankets that are on your baby. Ideally your baby’s room should be kept at 65-68 degrees and if your baby is just sweating a little bit at night then that could be normal. But if your baby is sweating a lot during the day other times when he’s not sleeping, this would be a reason to have him checked out by the doctor.
